Rogue River Special Areas
The Upper Rogue River goes through many changes on it’s way down the mountains. Just a few miles up the highway from the Crater Lake RV Park is Natural Bridge, where the Rogue river disappears into a lava tube and emerges on the other side! The turnoff takes you on a 0.6 mile paved road to an RV accessible parking lot. From there, a short handicap access paved trail winds through the forest along the river to Natural Bridge.
Eleven miles from the Crater Lake RV Park is the Rogue-Gorge viewpoint. Here the Rogue River shoots through a narrow collapsed lava tube for awesome white water! The parking lot just past Union Creek is RV accessible and the short paved trail along the gorge is easy to walk.
These are but two near the Crater Lake RV Park that you’ll find along the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway.
